进口押汇[Inward Documentary Bills) 银行为进口商所经办的一种融通资金的业务。即进口地银行因购人告口商所出具的汇票及全部货运单据而垫支的全部货款。进口押汇的过程大体上与出口押汇差不多，只是申请押汇人和经办押汇业务的银行不同。前者为进口商和进口地银行，后者为出口商和出口地银行。见“出口押汇”。
信用证申请人[Applicant for the Credit]又称信用证开证人，信用证当事人之一。向银行申请开立信用证的人。通常为进口商即交易中的买方。进口商在贸易合同签订后，如规定以信用证方式结算，就应及时向所在地银行申请开立以出口商为受益人的信用证。开证申请人应严格按贸易合同内容填写开证申请书，以保证信用证条款与合同的一致。见“信用证当事人”。
信用证开证人[L／C Opener) 又称信用证申请人。见“信用证申请人”。
信用证受益人[Beneficiary o Letter of Credit) 信用证当事人之一。信用证上指定有权使用该证并享有权益的人。受益人只要在履行了信用证所规定的条款，就有权向开证行收取信用证项下之货款，享有开证行的付款保障。受益人一般为贸易合同中的出口商。见“信用证当事人”。
