据统计，2010全国的英语培训市场的总份额将会超过300亿元人民币，其中高端商务英语培训市场最近几年的市场份额不断在膨胀，逐渐成为教育培训市场的新宠。随着中国与世界的经济文化交流不断加深，越来越多的年轻“白领”们已经渐渐的意识到商务英语在日常工作中的“不可或缺”性。工作在北京CBD一家外企的小张感同深受的提到“现在的个人商务英语水平不仅关系到面子问题，更重要的是直接影响与外商和外籍同事进行工作交流”。其实，小王的观点就是大多数在职场打拼的年轻人心声的真实写照。
目前，针对日益高涨的市场需求，高端商务英语培训机构也是不断推出适合中国职场“精英”们的英语培训产品。而商务英语产品的核心便是课程体系研发、设计以及教材的编写。虽然，全国大大小小的商务英语培训机构数以千记，但是就“核心产品”而言无非就是下列三类：
第一类，就是直接从市场上现有的培训书籍中进行选取，自己本身没有研发的实力和资本投入，这类机构大多数规模小，师资匮乏，教学场所简陋，多数是凭借“暑期档”在大专院校临时租借场所，这类机构的优势就是便宜，但是由于一般是大班授课，教材同质化明显，所以教学质量无法保证。
第二类，就是挂靠知名机构，助力市场宣传。这类学校有华尔街英语和英孚教育tangram_guid_1356941200640华尔街英语商务课程分为六个级别，虽然课程同质化强，但是由于接连挂靠了《金融时报》和“哈佛商务出版社”等机构；而英孚教育的职场课程是挂靠在霍特国际商学院（Hult International Business School）的名下，而实际上霍特国际商学院多年前就已经被英孚教育所收购。这类商务课程由于是借助知名机构，所以市场收效尚好，但是由于授课模式多为人机对话，同时教材和课程与挂靠机构并无相互关联，所以教学效果有待检验。
第三类，就是与国外大学院校，和教育研发机构共同开发课程与教材。此类机构有西岸教育集团下属的西岸国际语言中心和新东方下属的精英英语。前者，与美国加州大学洛杉矶分校，澳洲格里菲斯大学共同开发商务英语课程和教材；而后者直接购买美国DynEd（戴耐德）的商务教学软件。这类机构由于注重教材和课程研发，所以教学效果明显，市场口碑良好。但是，缺点就是研发时间较长，产品设计和生产投入较大。
现在，高端商务英语培训市场的份额不断扩大，但是竞争也在不断加剧。西岸国际语言中心的教学总监李晗表示，光靠“洋人”和同质化教材搞英语培训的年代已经一去不复返了！未来谁能够在这一市场上站稳脚跟、有立足之地，不仅依靠舒适的教学环境和优良的师资队伍，更重要的是要有课程与教材的自主研发能力，这才是高端商务英语的“生死脉门”。
