She went to the fishmongers to buy him some fish,

But when she came back he was licking the dish.
可是回到家她发现狗狗正在舔盘子。
She went to the grocers to buy him some fruit,
她到杂货店那儿给他买些水果，
But when she came back he was playing the flute!
可是回到家她发现狗狗正在吹笛子!

To fetch her poor dog a bone.

And when she got there it was no longer bare,
她发现橱柜里不再空空如也，
And so she ge her poor dog...a bone!
终于她给可怜的狗狗...一根骨头!
