1.词汇的积累和熟练
词汇是参加任何英语考试的基础，特别是作为全国大学英语级别考试中初级水平的大学英语六级考试。其实对于六级大纲词汇所要求的4700个单词，复习过程中没必要全部都记，要坚持两个原则∶去掉你已经掌握的单词，重点记忆核心词。
2.在阅读中掌握语法
尽管现在单独作为大学英语六级考试题型的语法结构越来越少，可是在任何一个大学英语六级考试题型中，语句的理解还是以语法结构为基础，比如说阅读题，光知道单词意思不知道语法结构，理解起来也是很困难的。
建议是∶用真题来掌握语法，通过精读阅读文章，把阅读文章中出现的语法句型全部吃透然后掌握。
3. 写作和翻译训练
写作和翻译也是综合基本功的体现。其实只要大家把词汇和语法这两大难题攻克了，这两部分是很简单的。大学英语六级考试作文需要背范文和模板，学会灵活套用。翻译需要多多练习，要注意近年的一些热点话题，很可能会变成考题，翻译技巧还是需要多读多练，读经典的翻译范文，利用真题来练习翻译，对照答案查漏补缺，总结技巧。
