戴（that）慧（whether）仪（疑问词）：用一个人名涵盖了三种名词性从句，倒是好记。 为了集中理解语法关系，以下例句里的词汇不做太大的变动： 1. 戴（that的汉语谐音）说的是用that引导的从句，用来陈述一个存在的事实，如： 宾语从句 He said that he would come in an hour.他说他一小时后会来。 表语从句 His reply was that he would come in an hour.他的回答是他一小时后会来。 主语从句 It is true that he would come in an hour.他一小时后会来是真的。（it是形式主语） 2. 慧（whether汉语谐音，包括if），用来陈述一个或然问题。 宾语从句 I don't know whetner/if he will come in an hour or not.我不知道一小时后他是否会来。 表语从句 The questiong is whetner/if he will come in an hour or not.问题是一小时后他是否会来。 主语从句 whetner/if he will come in an hour or not is still unknown.一小时后他是否会来还仍然是个未知数。 3. 仪（疑问词“疑”的谐音），用来陈述一个具体问题，包括what,who, where, when, why等连接词。 宾语从句 I don't know when he will come.我不知道他什么时候会来。 表语从句 The questiong is when he will come.问题是他什么时候会来。 主语从句 When he will come is still unknown.他什么时候会来还仍然是个未知数。
