什么是申根签证？
申根签证是指签署“申根协定”的欧洲国家所发出的签证。这些国家之间的边境上，已取消了签证检查。这就是说，如果你持有在法国使馆获得的香根签证，你可以由法国跨过边境进入德国、意大利、比利时等国家而不需要另外的签证。当然你还可以继续旅行，从比利时进入荷兰。但是如果你想从法国进入瑞士 （没有签署申根协定）然后进入德国，你就要检查一下首先有没有瑞士签证，然后你的申根签证是一次进入还是多次进入的（Single/ Entry/Multiple Entry），因为一旦你离开申根国家，你的一次进入签证就用完了。
理论上说，你可以在某一申根国家使馆（如法国）拿到申根签证后，由其它申根国家（如德国）入镜和离开，你甚至不必进入法国。但你在申请签证时，必须向签证官证明你的主要目的地（main destination） 或在没有主要目的地时的第一目的地（first destination）是你申请签证的国家。
