My name is James Joseph hailing from Nigeria, in West Africa. I am now a United States citizen by naturalization. I recently graduated from Roxbury Community College Massachusetts in the spring semester of 2012, with an Associate's Degree. I studied Health Careers in my preparation for the nursing profession. I obtained college GPA of 3.51.
The nursing profession has been my lifelong dream right from my childhood. It is my highest priority to become a Nursing Practitioner one day. My passion is to help and care for people, making the nursing profession appealing to me. I am determined to acquire the formal training necessary to care for people. I wish to transfer to the nursing department at Salem State University because of the testimony I heard about this great school. My curiosity about Salem State University propelled me to search through its website. I was amazed to discover that many reputable people were once students in this great institution. Besides, I encountered one of the alumni, who spoke a lot about the competence and experience of the professors of nursing at the University. This in my judgment makes Salem State University a suitable for place to pursue my career.
I have been working as a Residential Advisor in a group of home since 2006, helping people who mentally challenged. The experiences acquired and the satisfaction derived from working in my capacity as a caregiver inspired me to further my education in order to acquire the necessary tools to function properly and competently in the field of health care.
Actually, my decision to transfer to Salem State University will assist me to reach my goals. My objective when I finish this course of study is to help lower-income people. By nature, I am a compassionate individual, and from my experiences, I am confident that I can establish a rapport with the more needy families. Thanks for your anticipated co-operation.
