说起美，人们往往想到那些不同寻常的美，那些惊心动魄的美，那些自然界的美。
大自然的确美：春天有“碧玉妆成一树高，万条垂下绿丝绦”的美；夏天有“小荷才露尖尖角，早有蜻蜓立上头”的美；秋天有“停车坐爱枫林晚，霜叶红于二月花”的美；冬天有“墙角数枝梅，凌寒独自开”的美。然而，这些美都是众所周知的，其实，生活中处处都有美，只是我们缺少一双发现美丽的眼睛。今天，我就用我的眼睛，发现了平凡事物中的美。
我正坐在公交车上，突然，一位大约70岁的老奶奶自己走了上来，我看到她疲惫不堪的样子，立刻站了起来，对老奶奶说：“奶奶，您坐吧！我站着就行。”老奶奶看着我也挺累的，马上说：“不用了，不用了，还是你坐吧！我不累。”我刚刚想坐下去，突然看到了坐在旁边的妈妈，想到了一个好办法，便说：“没事，我坐在妈妈腿上就行了，还是您坐吧！”老奶奶扶着栏杆坐了下去，一边用感激的目光看着我，一边说：“谢谢你，小朋友！”我说：“不客气，这是我应该做的。”说着，我坐到了妈妈的腿上。
虽然这只是一件微不足道的小事，但是通过这件小事，我发现我和老奶奶都有一颗互相谦让的心，这让我们的生活变得更加美好。生活中处处都有美，只要我们细心观察，细心感受，就能发现其中的美。在我们的身边，还有很多这样平凡的小事，比如：清洁工阿姨每天把马路打扫得干干净净的，交警叔叔每天站在马路上指挥交通，老师每天为我们上课、批改作业，我们班的几位同学每天为我们搬奶、发奶……这一件一件的小事是那样的平凡、不起眼，而且每天都在发生着、进行着。
这些事虽然不是那么惊心动魄，也不是那么不同寻常，也没有大自然的风景美丽，但却让我深深地感受到：如果每个人都贡献出一份爱心，世界将变成美丽的人间。
