一个奥运志愿者的日记(A diary of an olympic volunteer)
It’s my honor to bee the youngest one in a bunch of Olympic volunteers. I never expected it to be easy to serve so may people on my first day, but I never thought it would be such an extraordinary experience.
I’ve met really really weird things. I saw a UFO on my way to the Olympic gym. A green creepy alien asked me in a strange accent:“I’m from Jupiter, passing by earth. What are u guys doing over here?” It was my duty to explain. “The Olympic games is an international sport meeting with athletes from all over the world. It’s held every four years. It has a slogan of “higher, faster and stronger”.” The alien thought it was a good campaign and promised to hold a universal Olympic game on Jupiter and use the dust rings as racetracks.
Then I met a handicapped man. He pointed at his broken legs and asked me: “Are there any possibilities for me to ever be an athlete?” I froze for a second. “Oh, of course there are, you look…healthy.” But my voice was uncertain. The poor man started crying bitterly. “But there ain’t a chance, I’m just a piece of crap…” He chocked. “No, believe-in yourself. Disabled people can show strong abilities which will make abled people marvel at.” The man took my encouragement, wiped off his tears and swore to get well again. An Olympic volunteer should never impale anyone.
Just then and Italian audience called me. “Excuse me, could you please order me some macaroni and a mushroom pizza.” I was confused of he’s accent. As an Olympic volunteer, I still he a lot to improve.
I’m satisfied with my work today. And I believe every volunteer is. We are just like bright candles that lights the whole Olympic game up!
