今年的国庆节，我做了很多有趣的事，但是，唯独有一件事我觉得非常有意义。你们想知道是什么事吗？那就让我说给你听吧。
十月的第一天，我和爸爸、妈妈去了姑姑家，姑姑家在一个小集镇上，她家是卖早点的，一大早，当我们到姑姑家时，发现在早摊点前已是被人围得水泄不通，生意非常好。我们看姑姑这么忙赶紧上前帮忙。我和妈妈约定进行一场比赛，看谁收拾的碗盘多，谁就胜利。
比赛开始了，只见妈妈猛地一伸手拾起一个顾客吃完饭后放下的碗，我也毫不示弱，用飞快的脚步和敏捷的双手也收拾了旁边另一个顾客吃完饭后放下的碗，现在是一比一打成平局。但是，我不服气一定要决个胜负，我们又开始进入第二场比赛，这时，吃饭的人越来越少了，桌上的碗盘也减少了，我想出了一个赢妈妈的新方案：只盯着顾客最多的一桌，等他们一吃完，我迅速跑过去把那些碗盘都收走。于是，我说干就干，盯着一张顾客较多的桌子，不一会，这张桌子上的二三个顾客就吃完了，我立即跑过去就将三个碗，两个盘收起，在收拾的过程中，我感觉这三个碗有点沉，我一看，原来，那几位顾客还没吃完就丢下碗走了。我把这件事告诉了妈妈，妈妈也觉得很浪费，并告诉我说：“你以后别学他们，他们的行为很不好。”妈妈同时对我说，第二场比赛是我赢了。
这次比赛我不断赢了妈妈，而且，我还懂得一个道理：浪费是可耻的行为。
