在我家的衣橱里，挂着一件发黄的衬衫。它原本不是黄色的，是因为存放时间太长的缘故，它才成为一个“老古董”。
这并不是一件普通的衬衫，它凝聚着妈妈对我无尽的爱。每当看见它，我就不由想起那件令我终身难忘的事。
那还在我9岁的时候，我们家住在一幢高层住宅的13楼。有一天晚上，我突然发高烧，爸爸又出差在外，情急之下，妈妈只身一人带我去医院看病。到了医院，排队挂号，排队就诊，排队取药，排队穿刺，接着是漫长的打吊针时间。等这一切全部结束，已经是第二天凌晨2点多钟了，妈妈身心疲惫地扶着我，走出了医院的大门。
出租车把我们送到了家门口，望着高高的楼房，我心里直犯愁：电梯停了，我们如何上楼？我们家住那么高的楼层，走楼梯谈何容易？但是妈妈当机立断，说：“我背你上楼。”我坚决不同意，可刚走两步就头晕，只好由妈妈背着。
一开始妈妈并不是很累，步伐还算轻松。但随着时间的推移，楼层的增高，我明显地感到妈妈累了，静静的楼道里，妈妈粗粗的喘气声是那样的清晰。不知不觉，妈妈的额头渗出了豆大的汗珠，身上那件白色真丝衬衫也被汗水浸湿了。我知道，那是爸爸新买给妈妈的衬衫，妈妈特别喜欢那件白衬衫，做什么事都很小心，生怕弄脏它。而此时，她已顾及不到自己的衬衫，我便提醒她：“妈妈，您累了，您的新衬衫也湿了，我们歇会儿再走吧！”妈妈不以为然：“没事，回去洗一洗就好了。”我趴在妈妈背上，泪水模糊了我的双眼。妈妈硬是撑着把我背到了13楼，背到了家。
一进家门，妈妈顾不上休息，赶紧忙着烧开水，冲药，并督促我吃药。把我安顿好了之后，她便换下那件衬衫。我以为妈妈会马上把它洗一洗，可是妈妈拿着衬衫看了好长时间，我疑惑地问道：“妈妈，您的衬衫怎么了？打皱了吗？”妈妈笑了笑：“没关系，用电熨斗熨一熨就好了。”
过了几天，我见妈妈一直没穿那件洗净熨好的衬衫，一问才知道，那件衬衫被勾了好多丝，都是我胸前拉链惹的祸。从那以后，虽然妈妈再也没穿过那件衬衫，但我时常见妈妈打开衣橱摸摸它，看得出，妈妈对这件衬衫仍然是爱不释手。

记得我十岁那年，一个夏日的晚上，我吃了饭，匆匆忙忙从窑里出来，要外出玩耍。匆忙中也没有看脚下的路，一脚踏进盛满猪食，刚从火炉上端下来的沙锅里，穿着凉鞋的脚立刻水泡爆出，我疼的大哭。母亲吓傻了，那是母亲端下还没有来得及端走的，父亲也慌了神，背着我满村的找医生。那时，预防知识欠缺，医疗设备、药物贫乏，要是有急救常识，弄些醋把脚洗一洗，也不会水泡满脚。
从村卫生所回来，母亲看着我满是水泡红肿的脚，心疼和自责使母亲一连两天以泪洗面，茶饭不进。看到母亲的样子，我也忍住疼痛不敢言声，想以此减轻母亲的自责，使她能吃些饭。在全家人的劝说下，母亲从自责中摆脱出来，全身心的投入到对我的护理中。
那时正值盛夏，由于烧伤药物的短缺，我的脚感染了，满窑散发着熏人的恶臭。由于脚要不时抹药，不能在床上睡觉，只能睡地铺，母亲除照顾我的饮食起居外，也陪我睡在地下，一睡就是四十天。我的脚好了，母亲却出了一身的脓疮。在我治脚期间，母亲要操持一家人的饭食还要喂鸡喂猪，就已经很辛苦了，还要为我换药、开小灶……，她从没有嫌烦过，总是任劳任怨，总是以自责的心理对待我，可我心里明白，这全是因为我不小心造成的，却使母亲承受莫大的心理痛苦。现在想起都内心有愧。
天下的母亲是细心、爱子的，我母亲也和天下所有的母亲一样。我十四岁那年，去串亲戚，在回来的路上，被恶狗咬了一口，事后全家都没当回事，第二天我照样参加生产队的摘棉花劳动。半晌时母亲踮着小脚到离家五里的地里找我，要我回家打破伤风针，那时也没有狂犬疫苗。我看着母亲满脸的汗水，看着母亲的小脚，以及她急不可待的神情，我的眼泪涌出眼眶：我被母亲深深的爱所感动。回来后才知道，母亲是听人说打了破伤风针，就能预防发生意外。我现在想起母亲的那双小脚，心急如焚地赶路的情形，就对母亲爱子之心感动不已。
