今天,我要说课的课题是九年级英语第六册第五单元第三十五课——Keeping Culture Alive 继续保留文化。课文主要围绕着学生们参观North America 的Chinatown, 由 Chinatown 联想到北京是否有个Little North America 而展开精彩的对话。对话中充分体现了在北美的Chinatown还保留了中国的传统文化。
二、教学目标和方法
根据英语学科的语言特点,以及大纲“培养和训练学生的听、说、读、写的能力”要求,我确立本课的教学目标为以下三点:
第一,在知识与技能方面,要求学生掌握mind, share, strange等几个重点词汇的使用;hand in , talk about等几个重点词组的运用;和There be 句型和There would be 句型等基本句型的表达和运用;注重培养学生的综合语言能力。
第二,在过程与方法方面,我采用“任务型”教学模式,首先把课的学习任务布置给学生,让学生明确本节课的主要内容,在明确学习任务之后进而帮助学生在完成学习任务的过程中形成主动的学习状态,产生学习欲望和动力。同时,根据不同阶段不同的学习任务,我将安排适当的学生活动,设置场景,假如同学们去了北美的Chinatown,大家觉得那里应该会有怎样的场景?让学生分组讨论,4~6人为一组进行10分钟的课堂讨论,然后叫1~2组的同学发表自己组员的观点,最后我会小结同学们的观点。
第三,在情感态度与价值观方面,通过对Chinatown的讨论,调动学生学习的积极性,发挥学生的想象力,从而使学生养成爱思考重观察善于表达自己观点的好习惯。
三、教学程序
我把这节课大致分为三个环节。
第一环节,Daily report
复述上节课的学习内容,目的是为了培养学生的口语表达能力和听力。同时,为了鼓励更多的学生尤其是听说能力较差的学生参与复述,我还会提出“One sentence or even a few words is OK”最大限度地调动学生的非智力因素。
第二环节,导入新课
通过学习新词并简单说明Chinatown的背景来导入。每个学生都有好奇心和求知欲,通过提供更多与Chinatown的信息来满足学生的好奇心和求知欲,从而使学生自然进入状态。
第三环节,新课学习
首先,给学生布置这节课的学习任务:掌握mind, share, strange等几个重点词汇的使用;hand in , talk about等几个重点词组的运用;和There be 句型和There would be 句型等基本句型的表达和运用。
其次,在重点的处理上,我选用讲授法和练习法这两种传统的教学方法,左讲右练,给学生布置一些课堂练习,操练学生对重点词汇、词组和基本句型的表达和运用。
再次,在难点的处理上,除了在课堂上播放课文录音磁带外,我还会适当安排学生活动,设置场景让学生进行分组讨论(要求discuss in English)并抽选1~2组的同学以小结或对话的方式运用There would be 句型发表观点。从而突破现在学生怕开口难开口的难题。为了鼓励大学积极参与到讨论中来,我会提出如果讨论时遇到不会表达的观点,可以问老师,老师会帮助大家解决问题。同学们也可以事先把讨论的观点记录在纸上,发表观点时可以照着草稿读出来。
最后,由我对讨论进行课堂小结。

2、要求学生查阅有关子 ”西方文化” 书籍或上网查相关资料,写一篇以The Interesting Culture Of Western Country为题的作文,可以从饮食、礼仪、语言等方面写,字数在80字左右。
